Siddal to do with me

Siddal v Egremont Rangers

Siddal is a large estate just outside Halifax.  The rugby club have recently risen to prominance as the leading side in the amateur game.

The chairman has recently taken over the team I have previously followed, South Wales Scorpions.

In line with most of the amateur clubs, the ground consists of a large clubhouse with a railed off pitch.

The site is on the side of a hill, and this gives a considerable, side-to-side slope.

Siddal could clinch the title today if they won.  Egremont are from the wilds of central Cumbria, and are currently nestling just above the relegation zone.

The result went with form, Siddal racing to a convincing half time lead, which they then built on.  Egremont did get a couple of trys, and the game finished 36-12.  Defeat for West Hull meant the result was good enough for Siddal to clinch the leaders shield, with the play offs ahead.
